Festive season service 2024: Post Company Cars as a strong partner even at peak times
The period between Black Friday and Christmas is the busiest time of the year for Swiss Post. Several million parcels and letters have to reach their destination quickly and reliably. As Swiss Post’s fleet manager, Post Company Cars plays an important role in enabling this exceptional logistics performance.

Our tasks in the festive season service
As a fleet service provider, we take on a wide range of tasks to ensure that Swiss Post is optimally positioned during this peak period:
- Demand survey and analysis: we start determining the precise need for additional vehicles as early as August.
- Coordination and planning: together with our partners we ensure that all resources are deployed efficiently.
- Vehicle procurement: to deal with the increased volume of consignments, we are procuring 557 additional vehicles – ranging from three-wheel vehicles to delivery vans.
- Short-term solutions: from snow chains to special requests – we respond flexibly to the requirements of our customers.
- Return of the vehicles: from January, we take over the return and handling of the additional vehicles from the festive season service.
- Effectiveness monitoring and further development: a detailed report and a debriefing help us to learn from the experience and make the next festive season service even more efficient.
