YellowDrive FAQ
YellowDrive is aimed exclusively at companies based in Switzerland. The driver must have a valid driver’s license from Switzerland or Liechtenstein for the relevant vehicle. We also check the company’s creditworthiness before the contract is concluded. If the credit rating is insufficient, we will unfortunately have to decline requests.
The monthly flat rate includes use of the vehicle, summer and winter tyres (including changes), motorway tax sticker for Switzerland, all registration fees, vehicle taxes and duties, insurance (liability and comprehensive insurance), breakdown and accident service, any services and repairs that were not caused by use contrary to the contract, and a fuel or charging card. Fuel is not included.
Billing is carried out with a monthly flat rate, which is agreed in the contract. After the return of the vehicle at the end of the term, a final bill is issued which may include charges for additional kilometres or additional fees according to the YellowDrive list of fees. If the vehicle is not returned at the exact end of the term, a pro rata final bill will be charged.
After receipt of your request, we will check the availability of our vehicles and coordinate the vehicle handover with you. Depending on the vehicle category, it may take some time until the handover. However, we will do everything we can to meet the handover date you have specified.
The vehicle is handed over and returned at our headquarters in Bern, or we can deliver the vehicle to the address of your choice for an additional charge.
The vehicle may be used by the main driver named in the contract and by third parties who meet the requirements and obligations specified in the YellowDrive General Terms and Conditions.
Authorization to travel extends to journeys mainly in Switzerland and the Liechtenstein driving authority. The vehicle may be used abroad in the following countries: portugal, Spain, France, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. It should be noted, however, that any necessary documents and security accessories must be carried. For insurance coverage, please refer to the General Terms and Conditions of Insurance (GTCI).
You cannot generally replace the vehicle during an active term. However, we reserve the right to reclaim the vehicle and exchange it for an equivalent vehicle within the same vehicle category.
If the claim pertains to a Post Company Cars vehicle, report your claim to us using the claims notification form.
If it pertains to a third-party vehicle, report your claim directly to the relevant third-party provider.
Terms can generally always be extended. However, there is no guarantee that you can continue to use the same vehicle. In the event of an extension, we will work with you to select the best possible vehicle for you.
The number of kilometres per month included in the monthly flat rate and the cost of each additional kilometre driven are specified in the contract. Billing of the costs for any additional kilometres is included in the final bill after the vehicle is returned.
We will organize the end-of-term vehicle return with you 30 days before the planned return date. You can choose whether you return the vehicle to us in Bern or have it delivered to us by vehicle transport. If you opt for vehicle transport, additional transport costs will apply, as set out in our YellowDrive list of fees.
Upon return of the vehicle, we check the vehicle for signs of excessive wear or damage. We compare these with the condition of the vehicle before handover and with our damage catalogue, which records accepted and unaccepted signs of wear. We also recommend cleaning the vehicle before returning it to avoid increased additional costs. You can find our damage catalogue for passenger vehicles and delivery vehicles here.
